Highway Structural Engineer

A Highway Structural Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, inspection, and construction supervision of highway structures such as bridges, flyovers, culverts, retaining walls, underpasses, and other transportation-related structures.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and analyze highway bridges, flyovers, culverts, retaining walls, and underpasses.
Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and design reports.
Review structural designs according to relevant IRC, IS, MoRTH, and other applicable codes.
Prepare GA drawings, reinforcement drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and quantity estimates.
Coordinate with highway, geotechnical, architectural, and construction teams.
Review contractor drawings, method statements, and technical submissions.
Conduct site inspections and monitor structural construction activities.
Check reinforcement, formwork, concrete works, foundations, bearings, expansion joints, and other structural components.
Assist with BOQ preparation, quantity calculations, estimation, and cost control.
Identify construction issues and provide appropriate technical solutions.
Ensure structural works comply with quality, safety, specifications, and project requirements.
Prepare progress reports, inspection reports, and technical documentation.
Highway Structural Engineer with experience in structural analysis, design, detailing, and construction supervision of bridges, flyovers, culverts, retaining walls, and other highway structures. Skilled in structural calculations, reinforcement detailing, BOQ preparation, drawing review, site inspection, and coordination with project teams while ensuring compliance with IRC, IS, and MoRTH standards.
