Cloud Engineer – Azure
Rate: £500 per day Inside IR35
Location: Fully Remote
Contract: Initial 3 months

We’re currently working on a Cloud Engineer requirement with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and cloud migration.
The role is supporting an ongoing programme of work, with the immediate priority being the migration of workloads from on-premises environments into Azure. The client is looking for someone who can hit the ground running and support the remaining migration activity across the portfolio.
Key Experience Required
Strong hands-on Azure Cloud Engineering experience
Essential – experience migrating workloads from on-premises environments into Azure
Strong experience across Azure IaaS and PaaS
Experience with virtualised networking and Azure networking
Strong understanding of DNS
Experience with Active Directory and Entra ID
Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform and/or Bicep
Experience designing, deploying and supporting Azure infrastructure
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud/infrastructure issues
Comfortable working independently within an established engineering team
What They’re Looking For
The key thing is someone with recent, practical experience of on-prem to Azure migrations who can come into an existing programme and contribute immediately.
You should be comfortable working across the infrastructure and cloud environment, understanding existing workloads and dependencies, and supporting the delivery of migrations into Azure.
The strongest candidates will have a good balance of Azure engineering, migration and IaC experience rather than being purely architecture-focused.
