Role Description The E&I Engineer and Mechanical Fitter roles are full-time, on-site positions based at the edible oil refinery in Purba Bardhhaman, West Bengal. The E&I Engineer will oversee electrical and instrumentation systems, perform routine inspections, support process control optimization, diagnose faults, and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime. The Mechanical Fitter will install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment such as pumps, conveyors, valves, and rotating machinery, ensuring reliable and safe operation of production lines. Both roles will work closely with production and safety teams, follow standard operating procedures, maintain documentation, and support continuous improvement and compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Engineering and Electricity for operation, maintenance, and safety of electrical systems.
Candidates should possess skills in Instrumentation and Process Control to monitor, calibrate, and optimize refinery processes.
Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills to diagnose equipment and system issues and implement effective corrective actions.
Technical diploma or degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Hands-on experience in industrial plants, preferably in edible oil, food processing, or similar continuous process industries.
Knowledge of safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and basic understanding of relevant standards and regulations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
Effective communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams on rotating or shift schedules as needed.
