Key Responsibilities
Design-led role focused on sketching, rendering (like key shot etc.) and surfacing softwares (like Alias or Rhino)
Lead concept generation through sketching, mood boards, and design narratives for new products
Develop 3D surface/concept models in Rhino 3D and/or Autodesk Alias to explore form, proportion, and aesthetics
Translate user research and market insights into design concepts and product language
Create renders and visualizations to communicate design intent to stakeholders
Collaborate closely with engineering/CAD teams to hand off design intent for feasibility and detailed CAD development
Build and refine design guidelines, mood boards, and trend/competitive analysis
Present design concepts to leadership, clients, or cross-functional teams
Guide junior designers and review their concept work
Stay current with materials, finishes, manufacturing processes, and design trends relevant to the product category
Required Skills
Strong hand-sketching and ideation skills
Proficiency in Rhino 3D (mandatory); working knowledge of Alias preferred
Proficiency in rendering tools (KeyShot, V-Ray, or similar)
Strong portfolio demonstrating concept-to-form design process (not just finished renders)
Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and ergonomics as they relate to design decisions
Ability to communicate design rationale clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Good to Have
Experience working alongside CAD/engineering teams on design handoff
Exposure to Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for presentations
Experience in product category — e.g., consumer electronics, mobility, appliances.
