Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Linux System Administrator role based in Bengaluru. The Linux System Administrator will manage, configure, and maintain Linux servers and related infrastructure to ensure stable and secure operations. Daily responsibilities include monitoring system performance, applying patches and updates, managing user accounts and permissions, and performing routine backups and recovery tasks. The role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, providing technical support to internal teams, and implementing best practices for system and network security. The Linux System Administrator will also document configurations and procedures, collaborate with other IT staff on infrastructure projects, and contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong 2 - 3 years of System Administration and Linux System Administration skills, including experience with major Linux distributions.
Candidates should possess Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills for diagnosing, resolving, and documenting system and application issues.
Candidates should possess Network Security skills, including configuring firewalls, implementing security policies, and monitoring for security incidents.
Candidates should possess familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible) to streamline system tasks.
Candidates should possess knowledge of virtualization or cloud platforms (e.g., VMware, KVM, AWS, Azure) and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Candidates should possess strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively on-site, and a proactive approach to system reliability and security.
A relevant degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with industry certifications (e.g., RHCSA/RHCE, Linux+, Security+) is beneficial.
