Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Pre-Sales Solution Architect with strong expertise across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365 to support professional services engagements. The ideal candidate will play a key role in
translating customer business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud and M365 solutions. This role involves close collaboration with sales, delivery, and technical teams to design architectures, create SOWs, estimations, and present solution proposals to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Act as the primary technical advisor during the pre-sales phase for Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365 professional services engagements.
· Engage with customers to understand business, technical, and operational requirements and propose end-to-end cloud and M365 solutions.
· Design solution architectures covering cloud infrastructure, identity, security, collaboration, migration, and modernization scenarios.
· Create high-quality solution documents including architecture diagrams,
technical proposals, Statements of Work (SOW), assumptions, exclusions, and effort estimations.
· Conduct solution walkthroughs, technical presentations, and workshops with customers and internal stakeholders.
· Support RFP/RFI/RFQ responses with detailed technical inputs and implementation approaches.
· Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure solution feasibility, accurate sizing, and smooth transition from pre-sales to execution.
· Provide cost estimations, licensing guidance, and optimization recommendations for Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365.
· Identify technical risks, dependencies, and pre-requisites, and clearly articulate them to customers.
· Stay updated on cloud platform capabilities, licensing models, and industry best practices.
Skill and Qualification:
· 8–12 years of overall IT experience, with strong exposure to cloud architecture and professional services pre-sales.
· Proven experience in Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365 solution design and advisory roles.
· Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments, hybrid architectures, and cloud migration strategies.
· Solid understanding of networking, security, high availability, and disaster recovery in cloud infrastructure.
· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in high-pressure, production-critical environments.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and escalate issues.
Core Technical Expertise
Microsoft Azure:
· Azure IaaS C PaaS services (VMs, VNETs, Load Balancers, App Services, Azure SQL, Storage).
· Azure Identity C Security (Entra ID/Azure AD, RBAC, Conditional Access, Azure Firewall, NSGs).
· Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Backup, Site Recovery.
AWS
· EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Load Balancers, Security Groups.
· AWS Well-Architected Framework, cost optimization, and security best practices.
M365:
· Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams.
· Identity integration, tenant-to-tenant migrations, governance, security, and compliance.
• Experience with migration tools (Microsoft native tools, third-party tools like AvePoint, Quest, BitTitan, etc.).
• Knowledge of automation and IaC using PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM/Bicep, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, compliance, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Certificates:
· Microsoft: AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500, MS-102 (or equivalent)
· AWS: AWS Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional
· ITIL Foundation (preferred).
