Role Description The Certified Public Accountant at GeoAlert will work in a part-time, remote capacity, supporting the company’s financial health and compliance. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements in software, managing general accounting entries, update database and ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and Delaware tax regulations. The role involves quarterly and annual tax preparation, submission of all required forms to IRS, dealing with encountered problems, advise on taxation, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. The CPA will collaborate with leadership and operations teams to provide clear financial analysis and reporting that supports strategic decision-making in a growing tech-focused environment. Posession of SSN or ITIN number is welcomed.
Qualifications
Strong accounting foundation with skills in Accounting and Finance, and proven ability to support business decision-making through financial insights.
Expertise in Financial Statements, including preparation, analysis, and reporting in accordance with applicable standards.
Experience in Tax Preparation, with knowledge of corporate tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Active or eligible Certified Public Accounting (CPA) credential and experience applying CPA-level standards in a professional setting.
Proficiency with accounting and finance software, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools.
Excellent attention to detail, integrity in handling financial information, and the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; experience in technology or data-focused companies is an advantage.
