We are expanding our technology team and looking for a Senior Developer who will play a crucial role in building and enhancing scalable applications while guiding and mentoring a team of developers.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications and RESTful APIs using Python.
Develop backend services using FastAPI, Django/Django REST Framework, or Flask.
Write clean, modular, reusable, and maintainable Python 3.x code.
Design and optimize database models and queries using SQLAlchemy, Django ORM, or similar ORMs.
Work with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
Develop and manage data-intensive workflows using libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
Implement backend functionalities including authentication, authorization, file processing, scheduled jobs, and background tasks.
Integrate internal and third-party APIs and implement secure authentication using JWT, OAuth, and API security best practices.
Optimize APIs, database queries, and backend processes for improved performance and scalability.
Implement asynchronous and background processing using Celery, Redis, CRON jobs, or similar technologies.
Debug production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure application reliability.
Use Git/GitHub for version control and follow proper branching, pull request, and code review practices.
Containerize and deploy applications using Docker.
Work with AWS services such as EC2 and S3 for application deployment and storage.
Collaborate with frontend developers, AI/ML engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end product features.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards and engineering best practices.
Required Skills
3+ years of professional experience in Python backend development.
Strong programming skills in Python with a good understanding of OOP, data structures, and clean coding practices.
Strong hands-on experience with at least one backend framework: FastAPI, Django/DRF, or Flask.
Strong experience in designing and developing REST APIs.
Good understanding of SQL, database design, ORM, query optimization, and database performance.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
Experience with API authentication and security, including JWT, OAuth, and CORS.
Proficiency with Git/GitHub and collaborative development workflows.
Hands-on experience with Docker and environment/configuration management.
Experience deploying or managing applications on AWS (EC2, S3).
Understanding of debugging, exception handling, logging, testing, and performance optimization.
Ability to independently develop and own backend modules/features.
Good to Have
Experience with Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or other background/task-processing technologies.
Understanding of asynchronous programming in Python.
Experience with Frontend Technologies like React, NextJS
Exposure to microservices architecture.
Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
Experience integrating AI/ML models, LLMs, or Generative AI services into backend applications.
Experience building backend systems for SaaS, AI, analytics, or enterprise products.
