Travel Destination Research Intern

Role Description As a Travel Destination Development Intern at The Return Journey, you will support the design and refinement of curated travel experiences at the on-site location in Mulshi. This internship role involves researching local stays, food options, activities, and transport providers, and mapping them to different traveler profiles and moods. You will assist in building destination-specific itineraries, documenting key experience details, and coordinating with local partners to ensure service quality and authenticity. The role also includes interacting with visitors, gathering feedback on their journeys, and helping improve future travel concepts and offerings. You will collaborate closely with the core team to turn traveler insights into new destination ideas and experience packages.
Qualifications
Ability to handle Travel Arrangements and Travel Management tasks, including planning itineraries and coordinating logistics.
Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage with travelers and local partners in a clear, respectful manner.
Understanding of Business Travel needs and the ability to adapt experiences for different traveler segments.
Interest in experiential travel, local culture, and community-based tourism; prior experience in hospitality or tourism is an advantage.
Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to document information accurately.
Comfort working on-site in Mulshi, with flexibility to interact in dynamic, outdoor, and local settings.
Pursuing or having completed studies in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
