Role Description The Manager – HR and Admin will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of human resources and administrative activities at the Chennai head office in a full-time, on-site capacity. This role includes managing recruitment and onboarding, employee life cycle processes, performance management support, and employee engagement initiatives. The manager will handle HR policies and compliance, maintain accurate HR records, and coordinate payroll inputs in collaboration with finance. Administrative responsibilities include office facilities management, vendor coordination, travel and accommodation arrangements, and ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations. The role will also involve supporting leadership with HR reports, data analysis, and implementation of HR and admin best practices aligned with company standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong HR generalist skills, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management support, and employee relations.
Candidates should possess competencies in HR operations and compliance, such as policy implementation, maintaining HR documentation, and coordinating payroll-related activities.
Candidates should possess administration and facilities management skills, including office operations oversight, vendor management, and travel and logistics coordination.
Candidates should possess communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates should possess organizational and analytical skills, including attention to detail, data handling for HR reports, and problem-solving capabilities.
Relevant experience in HR and administration, preferably in logistics, shipping, or related industries, would be beneficial.
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, along with proficiency in MS Office and HRIS tools.
