About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
About the Job Our client is a new kind of organization for the AI era. We are a non-profit that builds the standards that define AI through open, state-of-the art, industry-standard benchmarks to measure quality, performance, and risk. We aren’t like standards organizations that slowly negotiate over specifications - we bring the community together to work on cutting edge problems and build the future with code. We’re a global consortium supported by 125+ members and affiliates, including startups, leading companies, and academics. We are a fully remote organization that supports a flexible working environment; this requires mature communication, accountability, and transparent collaboration by all team members. The Senior Accountant Role: Our client Association is seeking a senior accountant to join our accounting operations during a period of significant organizational growth. Currently, a significant amount of our accounting is outsourced to a large CPA firm. However, it is our intention to bring that function in house no later than the end of 2028. With that in mind, this role will start as 50% accounting responsibilities and 50% administrative/clerical support related to membership, human resources, and general administrative functions. (This mix will change over time to be more accounting focused as we grow and eventually shift the accounting function to internal.) As we expand from a single program to multiple revenue streams and certification programs, you'll be instrumental in establishing new accounting processes and ensuring financial operations scale effectively.
