About the Role
We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong hands-on experience in Statutory/Internal Audits, Direct & Indirect Taxation, and Tax Litigation/Assessments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Audit & Assurance
Plan and execute Statutory Audits, Internal Audits and Tax Audits.
Review financial statements, books of accounts, ledgers and supporting documents.
Ensure compliance with applicable Companies Act, Accounting Standards/Ind AS and auditing standards.
Coordinate with clients for audit requirements, queries and closure of audit observations.
2. Direct Taxation
Handle Income Tax compliances, including computation, return filing and tax planning.
Prepare/review tax audit reports and related documentation.
Handle Income Tax Assessments, Notices and Replies.
3. Indirect Taxation – GST
Handle/review GST returns, reconciliations and compliances.
Review GST workings, ITC reconciliation and liability calculations.
Handle GST notices, assessments and departmental correspondence.
Assist clients with GST advisory and interpretation of provisions.
Identify GST risks and recommend corrective actions.
4. Tax Litigation & Assessments
Handle Income Tax and GST litigation/assessment matters from preparation to closure.
Review notices, assessment orders and departmental communications.
Draft replies, submissions, objections and appeals.
Conduct research on relevant provisions, circulars, notifications and judicial precedents.
Assist in matters before Income Tax Authorities, GST Authorities, CIT(A)/Appeal authorities and other applicable forums.
Coordinate with senior professionals/advocates where required.
Maintain proper documentation and track litigation timelines and case status.
5. Client Handling & Advisory
Independently interact with clients to understand their business and taxation requirements.
Handle multiple assignments and ensure timely delivery.
Provide audit, tax and compliance-related advisory to clients.
Identify opportunities for improving client processes, controls and tax compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Chartered Accountant (CA) – Qualified.
2–6 years of post-qualification experience preferred.
Strong practical knowledge of Audit, Income Tax and GST.
Hands-on experience in tax assessments and litigation will be strongly preferred.
Good understanding of the Companies Act, Income Tax Act and GST laws.
Strong drafting and written communication skills.
Ability to research tax/legal provisions and analyse case laws.
Good command of MS Excel, Tally/ERP and MS Office.
Strong client-handling and communication skills.
Ability to independently manage assignments and meet deadlines.
