Role Description The Freelance Video Editor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Meerut. The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling raw footage, selecting the best takes, and creating polished video content aligned with project briefs and brand guidelines. Daily tasks include editing video sequences, adding transitions and effects, performing basic color correction and grading, and incorporating motion graphics or graphic elements where needed. The role involves collaborating with project managers and creative teams to understand requirements, maintaining consistent visual style across deliverables, and preparing final outputs for various digital platforms. The Video Editor is expected to manage their workflow efficiently, meet deadlines, and maintain organized file structures for ongoing and future projects.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Video Production, including planning, shooting coordination, and managing raw footage.
Candidates should possess skills in Video Editing, covering timeline editing, transitions, sound synchronization, and output formatting.
Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading, with the ability to adjust exposure, color balance, and create consistent visual moods.
Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics, including basic animation, text overlays, and visual assets integration.
Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects) is beneficial.
Strong attention to detail, visual storytelling ability, and capacity to follow brand and style guidelines are expected.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate in an on-site team environment in Meerut are required.
Relevant experience in video editing or a portfolio demonstrating previous work is preferred; a diploma or degree in film, media, or related fields is an advantage but not mandatory.
