Program Manager -NETI

Company Description The Association of People with Disability (APD), India is a non-governmental organization that has been transforming the lives of underprivileged people with disabilities since 1959. Headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka, APD implements comprehensive programs across rural and urban regions to enable and empower children and adults with diverse disabilities, including locomotor, spinal cord injury, speech and hearing, cerebral palsy, and certain mental health conditions. Using a lifecycle approach, APD focuses on early intervention, education, livelihood, rehabilitation, capacity building, and access to entitlements, and has impacted more than one million lives. The organization works through strategic partnerships with local NGOs, government bodies, corporate organizations, and other stakeholders to expand the reach and effectiveness of its programs. APD also engages closely with government at multiple levels to influence policy and promote inclusion.
Role Description The Program Manager – NETI is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and monitoring of NETI (New Employment and Training Initiatives) programs for people with disabilities. This role involves designing and managing program plans, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and ensuring that program activities align with APD’s mission, standards, and compliance requirements. The Program Manager will manage budgets and resources, supervise and mentor program staff, and maintain detailed documentation and reporting to donors, management, and relevant authorities. Daily tasks include stakeholder engagement with government departments, NGOs, corporate partners, and community groups, along with conducting regular reviews, field visits, and impact assessments to improve program quality and reach. The role also requires contributing to strategy development, supporting fundraising and proposal writing, and representing APD at meetings, events, and consultations related to disability inclusion and livelihoods.
Qualifications
Program and project management skills, including planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
Stakeholder management and partnership-building skills, with experience working with government agencies, NGOs, corporate partners, and community organizations.
Team leadership and people management skills, including staff supervision, mentoring, and cross-functional coordination.
Strong communication skills in English and local languages (spoken and written), with the ability to prepare reports, proposals, and presentations.
Financial and operational management skills, including budgeting, resource allocation, and compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
Understanding of disability inclusion, social sector programs, and livelihoods or skill development initiatives.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree .
Prior experience in program management Minimum 10 years .
