Assignment Overview
The consultant will take ownership of a portfolio of approximately 10-15 business applications across multiple business units. The landscape consists of a mix of SaaS, server-based and desktop applications, supported by several external vendors in a largely outsourced environment.
The role combines application management, service delivery, stakeholder management, vendor coordination, project leadership and technical oversight. This is a hands-on coordination role rather than a pure technical or development position.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-end ownership of a portfolio of applications
Managing relationships with business stakeholders, vendors and internal IT teams
Coordinating upgrades, migrations, integrations and other application-related projects
Driving service quality, incident management and continuous improvements
Managing outsourced services and ensuring vendor performance
Overseeing contracts, assets, licenses, risks and (ideally) budgets
Acting as the key point of contact for the applications within the portfolio
Required Experience
Several years of experience as an Application Manager, Service Delivery Manager or similar role
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure environments (servers, cloud, networking, hosting)
Experience operating in outsourced/vendor-driven environments
Solid knowledge of IT service management processes
Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills
Able to work independently and take ownership from day one
Proactive, communicative and customer-oriented personality
Nice to Have
ITIL certification and/or strong ITIL process experience
Experience with ServiceNow (Incidents, Requests, Problem Management, Service Catalog, CMDB/Application Repository)
Experience managing application budgets, licenses and contracts
Exposure to manufacturing or industrial environments
