Role Description The Senior Engineering Project Manager is a part-time remote role responsible for leading complex engineering projects from concept through completion. This role oversees project planning, scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management for engineering and construction-related initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder expectations, monitoring progress against milestones, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The Senior Engineering Project Manager prepares and reviews technical documentation, supports design and project engineering activities, and provides guidance on construction methods and execution. This position also focuses on continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve project delivery outcomes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Engineering Management and Project Engineering skills, with the ability to guide technical teams and oversee complex engineering deliverables.
Candidates should possess advanced Project Management experience, including planning, scheduling, risk mitigation, and budget control in a technical or industrial environment.
Candidates should possess Construction Management and Construction-related skills, with familiarity in coordinating contractors, site activities, and compliance with safety and building standards.
Proficiency in using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and collaboration platforms, along with solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to diverse stakeholders and work effectively in a remote, cross-functional setting.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field; an advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) are beneficial.
Demonstrated experience managing large-scale engineering or construction projects in automotive, manufacturing, or similar industries is an advantage.
