Agricultural Engineer

Role Description
The Agriculture Engineer at Bliss Landscapes will play a key role in the planning, coordination and execution of landscape projects, combining agricultural and horticultural knowledge with strong site and people-management skills.
The role involves overseeing day-to-day landscape operations, coordinating site teams, supervisors, contractors and suppliers, and ensuring that planned works are executed efficiently, safely and to the required quality standards.
The Agriculture Engineer will be responsible for translating technical requirements into practical site execution, including irrigation, soil and water management, plant health, nutrition, pest management and sustainable landscape practices.
A major part of the role will involve managing manpower, allocating daily tasks, monitoring productivity, tracking project progress and resolving on-site issues in coordination with project and management teams.
The role will also require regular site inspections, coordination with designers and project teams, material and resource planning, contractor coordination, quality checks, documentation and reporting. The candidate will be expected to identify operational challenges early and take ownership of finding practical solutions.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in the field, managing people, making decisions on-site and taking responsibility for the overall performance of landscape operations.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate day-to-day landscape site operations.
Manage and coordinate site workers, supervisors, horticulture teams and contractors.
Allocate manpower and tasks based on project requirements and priorities.
Monitor daily progress, productivity, quality and completion of assigned works.
Coordinate irrigation, soil management, plant nutrition, pest management and other agricultural/horticultural activities.
Review drawings, specifications and project requirements and translate them into practical site execution.
Coordinate with design, estimation, procurement and project teams to ensure smooth execution.
Identify site-level technical and operational issues and implement practical solutions.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for materials, plants, equipment and other site requirements.
Conduct regular site inspections and maintain proper records and reports.
Ensure execution follows Bliss Landscapes' quality, safety and operational standards.
Support project planning, scheduling and resource requirements.
Communicate project/site updates, challenges and requirements to management.
Contribute to improving landscape execution systems, processes and standards across projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture, Agronomy or a related field.
2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably with landscape, horticulture, agricultural or related project operations.
Practical understanding of irrigation, soil science, plant nutrition, pest management and landscape maintenance.
Experience in site operations and team coordination will be highly valued.
Ability to manage and coordinate field teams and contractors.
Strong planning, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and understand basic project drawings, specifications and work requirements.
Comfortable working in outdoor/site environments.
Willingness to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities rather than functioning only in a technical advisory role.
