Hiring: Embedded & Hardware Product Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Embedded & Hardware Product Engineer to join us in developing a new AI-powered scientific calculator.
The product will combine a physical scientific calculator with a camera, AI-powered problem solving, connectivity, and a custom embedded system. We are currently at the research/prototyping stage and are looking for someone who can help us turn the concept into a reliable, production-ready hardware product.
What we need
We are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience in:
Embedded Systems
C/C++
ESP32 / STM32 or similar microcontrollers
FreeRTOS or similar RTOS
GPIO, I2C, SPI, UART, PWM
Firmware architecture and development
Device communication with REST APIs / cloud backends
Wi-Fi / Bluetooth
OTA firmware updates
Device authentication and secure communication
Low-power and battery-powered embedded systems
Hardware / Electronics
Digital and analog electronics
Schematic design
PCB design and layout
KiCad / Altium Designer or equivalent
Power management and voltage regulation
Li-ion/Li-Po battery systems
USB-C charging and power management
Display/LCD integration
Keypad/matrix input systems
Camera module integration
Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module integration
Component selection and BOM preparation
Hardware debugging and testing
Product Development
Rapid hardware prototyping
PCB prototyping and revision
Working with prototype manufacturers
SMT/PCB assembly
Hardware bring-up and validation
Firmware + hardware integration
Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
Design for Assembly (DFA)
Production testing / QA
Troubleshooting hardware and firmware issues
Experience taking a prototype toward a production-ready product

You will be involved in designing and developing:
Custom calculator hardware
Main MCU/SoC architecture
Scientific keypad system
Display system
Camera integration
Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity
Optional cellular connectivity
Battery and charging system
Custom PCB
Embedded firmware
Device-to-cloud communication
OTA update mechanism
Hardware testing and validation
Prototype development
Manufacturing preparation
Important
This is not a simple Arduino/ESP32 hobby project.
We are looking for someone who understands the full journey from:
Concept → Prototype → PCB → Embedded Firmware → Hardware Integration → Testing → Production Preparation
Experience with real-world consumer electronics or IoT products will be highly valued.
You do not necessarily need to have built a calculator before. However, you should have strong experience building and shipping embedded hardware products.
Collaboration
You will work closely with our Software/AI Engineer, who will handle:
Backend
AI integration
APIs
Database
Cloud infrastructure
Web/mobile software
Overall software architecture
Your responsibility will primarily be the embedded, electronics, hardware integration, and physical product engineering side.
