Role Description The Branch Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bhubaneswar, responsible for driving business growth and achieving sales targets for the branch. This role involves leading and motivating a sales team, planning and executing sales strategies, and monitoring performance against branch goals. The Branch Sales Manager will manage key distributor and partner relationships, support agency development, and oversee customer acquisition and retention activities. The role also includes ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, preparing regular sales reports and forecasts, and collaborating with internal stakeholders such as operations, underwriting, and customer service to deliver a seamless customer experience. The Branch Sales Manager is expected to actively identify market opportunities, conduct local market intelligence, and represent Care Insurance in branch-level business development initiatives.
Qualifications
Strong sales and business development skills, including target achievement, pipeline management, and relationship building with customers, distributors, and partners.
Experience in team leadership and people management, with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop sales professionals to meet branch objectives.
Knowledge of health insurance or financial services, including retail and group insurance products, and familiarity with local market dynamics in Bhubaneswar and surrounding regions.
Proficiency in planning, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making, with strong analytical and reporting skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and represent the company professionally in external interactions.
Strong customer orientation, focusing on service quality, retention, and long-term relationship management.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
Relevant experience in branch sales management or front-line sales leadership, preferably within insurance, banking, or other financial services.
