Role Description The Jewellery CAD Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad. The designer will create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models for jewellery pieces, translating design concepts and sketches into production-ready digital files. Daily responsibilities include preparing technical and construction drawings, refining designs based on feedback from the design and production teams, and ensuring all specifications meet manufacturing and quality requirements. The role involves collaborating with designers, gem setters, and production staff to optimize designs for aesthetics, durability, and feasibility. The Jewellery CAD Designer will also maintain organized files, adhere to project timelines, and support continuous improvement in design processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Technical Drawing and Drawing skills to translate concepts into precise visual representations.
Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, ideally with experience in jewellery-specific CAD software.
Candidates should possess Construction Drawings and Design Engineering skills to create production-ready designs that meet structural and manufacturing requirements.
Relevant experience in jewellery design or product design, particularly in fine or fashion jewellery, is beneficial.
Attention to detail, spatial visualization ability, and strong aesthetic judgment are important.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with designers and production staff.
Diploma or degree in jewellery design, mechanical design, industrial design, or a related field is preferred.
Willingness to learn, adapt to new design tools, and work on-site in Ahmedabad on a full-time basis.
