Role Overview:
The Learning Partner is responsible for partnering with business leaders and stakeholders to identify capability gaps, design learning interventions, and drive the execution of learning and development initiatives aligned to business priorities. The role acts as a strategic link between the business and the Learning function, ensuring employees have the skills, knowledge, and development opportunities required to achieve individual and organisational goals.
Key accountabilities:
Learning needs and stakeholder partnering
Partner with Service line leaders and business leaders to identify capability gaps and learning needs across the span.
Translate business requirements into structured learning solutions and development plans, mapped to the organisation's capability framework.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders to drive learning adoption and impact.
Work alongside Service Line Academy Heads as they identify the capabilities their service line needs to succeed and bring their learning plans and budgets into the organisation's annual plan.
Learning solution design and delivery
Design and deploy learning interventions, including workshops, leadership programmes and blended learning solutions.
Curate internal and external learning content aligned to business requirements.
Coordinate with faculty, trainers and vendors to ensure effective programme delivery.
Spot needs that two or more service lines share and route them to Central L&D so they are built once rather than three times.
Capability development
Support competency and capability building initiatives across functions and levels.
Drive onboarding, professional, behavioural, leadership and future skills learning initiatives, including the SPARK, EVOLVE and ASCEND journeys and the organisation wide AI capability programme.
Facilitate learning sessions where required and support the development of internal trainers.
Identify subject matter experts with academy heads for the Internal Facilitation Certificate and track them through to certification.
Programme governance and evaluation
Monitor programme participation, completion, learner feedback and learning effectiveness.
Review learning outcomes and recommend improvements that lift business impact.
Ensure compliance with mandatory learning requirements and professional certification needs, including the reconciliation between the financial year learning mandate and ICAI's calendar year CPE requirement.
Help academies work within the governance model: programmes mapped to the capability framework, learning recorded centrally, certified faculty, the central vendor list and cost centre reporting.
Communication and engagement
Promote learning initiatives through targeted communication and engagement campaigns.
Partner with teams to drive learner participation and build a culture of continuous learning.
Showcase learning success stories and good practice across the organisation.
Analytics and insights
Analyse learning data, trends and business feedback to measure impact and shape recommendations.
Prepare stakeholder updates, dashboards and quarterly reviews on learning effectiveness and capability development progress.
Experience and qualifications:
12-16 years of experience, including at least 6-8 years in learning and development, talent or organisation development.
Experience in a Big 4, professional services, consulting or financial services firm is strongly preferred. Exposure to audit, tax or regulated learning such as CPE and quality standards is a clear advantage.
Postgraduate degree in human resources, organisation development, psychology or business.
Certification such as ATD CPTD, CIPD, ICF coaching credentials or psychometric accreditation is an advantage.
