Job Summary The Billing and Collections Coordinator is responsible for supporting Billing and Collections staff. Assist leadership in assuring confidentiality is maintained and HIPAA compliance is adhered to. Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: - Ensure authorization requests and authorization appeals are submitted and followed-up on with the appropriate insurance company via fax, phone or online - Ensure all hospital records are requested in a timely manner and follow up completed as needed until received via fax, phone or online - Submit/mail appeal letters, claims and other correspondence to insurance companies in a...
