CFD Engineer

Job Summary
Seeking an experienced CFD / Thermal Engineer with expertise in thermal management, cooling system design, CFD simulation, battery thermal management, and thermal validation for Off Highway Vehicles. The role involves developing and optimizing cooling solutions for diesel, hydraulic, and electric vehicle systems through simulation.
Key Responsibilities
Perform CFD and thermal analysis of Off Highway Vehicles using steady-state and transient simulations.
Analyze and optimize engine compartment airflow, under-hood thermal management, radiator airflow, charge air coolers, hydraulic oil coolers, battery cooling, motor cooling, inverter cooling, and ventilation systems etc.
Design and optimize cooling packages, heat exchangers, radiators, fans, ducts, shrouds, and coolant flow systems.
Conduct battery thermal management studies including thermal uniformity, ventilation, liquid cooling, and thermal risk assessment.
Evaluate thermal performance of diesel engines, electric drivetrains, hydraulic systems, power electronics, transmissions, operator cabins, and electrical enclosures.
Perform pressure drop, airflow distribution, heat transfer, recirculation, thermal soak, and temperature distribution studies.
Support design optimization, feasibility studies, parametric studies, sensitivity analysis, mesh independence studies, and design validation.
Required Software Skills
ANSYS Fluent, Icepak, STAR-CCM+ ,GT-SUITE Thermal Management
FloTHERM / FLOEFD, OpenFOAM
Preferred Experience
Off Highway Vehicles.
Education
B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical, Thermal, Automotive Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience: 5–12 Years
Location: Pune/Hyderabad.
