Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist

EH&S Specialist will support key EHS programs, coordinate training and reporting activities, assist with incident investigations, and partner with operations to improve safety performance and compliance.

The EH&S Specialist Will:
Support EHS programs, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across North America including safety, environmental, and contractor safety programs.
Coordinate incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions and critical risk management activities.
Maintain EHS metrics, reporting, training, and compliance documentation.
Analyze EHS performance data and assist with audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
Partner with operations leaders to strengthen safety culture and environmental stewardship.
The EH&S Specialist Should Have:
Experience in Environmental, Health & Safety within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance programs.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Ability to analyze data, track metrics, and follow through on action plans.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with employees at all levels.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Approximately 25% travel required.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field.
1-5 years of environmental, health, and safety compliance experience.
Knowledge of life safety codes and EHS regulations.
Understanding of U.S. and Canadian regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, CSA, etc.).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical data interpretation skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
Professional certification such as GSP or ASP preferred.
