Role Description The Frontend Developer will support the institute by designing, implementing, and maintaining user-friendly web interfaces for research group pages, project presentations, and internal tools. Day-to-day tasks include building responsive web layouts, integrating visual content, optimizing site performance, and ensuring accessibility and browser compatibility. The role also involves collaborating with researchers and administrative staff to translate scientific content and institute activities into clear, engaging digital experiences. This is a part-time remote role, requiring effective time management, proactive communication, and independent work within agreed timelines.
Qualifications
Strong Front-End Development skills, including experience with modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks or libraries.
Proficiency in Web Development and Software Development principles, such as version control, modular code, and basic testing practices.
Ability to create Responsive Web Design that works across devices, screen sizes, and major browsers.
Basic understanding of Back-End Web Development to collaborate on APIs and data integration.
Familiarity with accessibility standards, usability best practices, and performance optimization for web applications.
Comfort working remotely, with strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with academic and technical stakeholders.
Relevant experience or coursework in computer science, software engineering, or a related field; experience in academic or research environments is an advantage.
