ABOUT THE ROLE
Bobby Mukherji Architects is an international architecture and interior design practice with over three decades of experience across hospitality, residential, commercial, township and mixed-use developments in India, the USA, the Maldives and other international locations. Our work includes projects for leading global hospitality brands such as Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Accor, Taj, Radisson and Westin.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Architect / Technical Lead to join our Mumbai office.
The role requires strong design judgment, exceptional technical knowledge and the ability to lead complex projects from concept development through design development, documentation and construction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead architectural projects from concept design through construction and delivery.
- Translate design concepts into technically resolved, coordinated and buildable solutions.
- Prepare and review architectural drawings, detailed working drawings and construction documentation.
- Coordinate structural, MEP, façade, landscape, lighting, back-of-house and other specialist consultants.
- Maintain design intent, technical accuracy and high documentation standards throughout the project.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, consultant inputs and client coordination.
- Lead and mentor junior architects, interns and architectural draftsmen.
- Review team output and ensure quality control and timely delivery.
- Resolve technical and design challenges during design development and construction.
- Support site coordination, material decisions and construction-stage problem-solving.
- Work closely with the Milan studio, providing technical guidance, consultant coordination and delivery support.
- Work effectively within Revit-based project environments and support the implementation of BIM workflows within the office.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- 10–15 years of professional architectural experience.
- Proven experience in large-scale hospitality, residential, commercial, township or mixed-use projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction, detailing, materials and building systems.
- Experience producing and reviewing complete working-drawing and construction-documentation packages.
- Strong understanding of Indian building bye-laws, statutory approvals, building codes and regulatory requirements.
- Experience coordinating structural, MEP and specialist consultants.
- Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and mentor junior staff.
- Strong project-management, communication and client-coordination skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Ability to work within Revit environments is a strong advantage.
- Experience introducing or improving BIM methodologies is an additional advantage.
QUALIFICATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
