Role Description The IT Network Engineer will work part-time in a remote capacity, supporting the company’s network infrastructure that underpins manufacturing and business operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring, monitoring, and maintaining network devices and services, ensuring stable connectivity for remote and on-site systems. The role involves diagnosing and resolving network issues, implementing security measures, and optimizing performance across internal and external-facing networks. The IT Network Engineer will collaborate with IT and operations teams to support cloud-based tools, remote access, and secure data flows between offices, manufacturing equipment, and clients. This position requires proactive documentation of network configurations, participation in periodic audits, and clear communication of technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Network Administration and Network Engineering for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise network environments.
Candidates should possess skills in Network Security to implement and monitor secure access controls, firewalls, and protection against network threats.
Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting and Information Technology to diagnose issues, support users, and maintain reliable IT operations.
Familiarity with routing and switching technologies, VPNs, and Wi-Fi management is beneficial
