Library PCB Manager

Tips: We are seeking an experienced PCB Library Manager / Lead Engineer to lead the development, governance, and maintenance of enterprise component libraries across multiple ECAD platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PCB library management, IPC standards, customer-specific library requirements, and team leadership. This role involves driving library quality, standardization, automation, and supporting global engineering teams in delivering accurate and reliable component data. Responsibilities
• Lead and manage PCB component libraries across ECAD tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, Siemens/Mentor Xpedition, and Zuken.
• Establish and enforce library standards, governance processes, naming conventions, quality controls, and best practices.
• Create, review, and approve schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and 3D models while ensuring compliance with IPC standards and manufacturing requirements.
• Manage customer-specific library requirements and ensure adherence to individual customer standards and processes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 15+ library engineers, driving performance, capability development, and delivery excellence.
• Ensure component data accuracy, including electrical parameters, package information, lifecycle status, and approved manufacturer/vendor details.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to support new product development and business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, process optimization, audits, and library governance initiatives.[Be specific when describing each of the responsibilities. Use gender-neutral, inclusive language.]

Required Skills
• Strong expertise in PCB Library Management and Component Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Altium 365, Cadence Allegro EDM/CIS, and Siemens Xpedition EDM.
• Thorough understanding of IPC standards (IPC-7351, IPC-2221, IPC-A-610)
• Experience managing customer-specific component libraries and enterprise library systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and cross functional collaboration skills.
• Experience driving governance, quality improvement, and automation initiatives.
Qualifications
Diploma or BE in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
