Role Description This remote, entry-level, part-time Data Insights Analyst role at schäfer BA focuses on supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. The analyst reviews and interprets structured and unstructured data, prepares dashboards and reports, and highlights key trends, patterns, and anomalies for stakeholders. Day-to-day tasks include cleaning and organizing datasets, running basic statistical analyses, building simple data models, and documenting findings in clear, accessible language. The role also involves collaborating with team members to understand business questions, translating them into analytical tasks, and suggesting data-based improvements to processes and performance.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns, interpret results, and draw logical conclusions from data.
Foundational knowledge of data analytics and experience working with tools or platforms commonly used for data exploration and reporting.
Basic understanding of statistics, including descriptive measures and introductory inferential concepts.
Exposure to data modeling concepts, such as structuring datasets and defining relationships between data entities.
Clear communication skills, including the ability to present data insights in concise written summaries and visual formats for non-technical audiences.
Comfort working remotely, with reliable internet access and the ability to manage time effectively in a part-time role.
Familiarity with spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets) and at least one data analysis or visualization tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is beneficial.
Relevant coursework or a degree in fields such as data science, statistics, mathematics, economics, business, or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
