Role Description The Formulation – Nasal Spray role is an on-site position based in Mumbai. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing nasal spray formulations, including selection of excipients, solvents, and appropriate packaging components. Day-to-day tasks include conducting pre-formulation and formulation studies, preparing trial batches, performing stability studies, and documenting experimental data in accordance with internal and regulatory standards. The role requires close collaboration with analytical, regulatory, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth technology transfer and scalability of formulations. The individual will also support troubleshooting, contribute to protocol and report writing, and assist in continuous improvement of formulation and process parameters.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong formulation and pharmaceutical development skills, including experience with nasal or other sterile/semisolid dosage forms, excipient compatibility, and process optimization.
Candidates should possess sound knowledge of analytical and quality practices, including basic analytical techniques, stability study design, data interpretation, and familiarity with GMP and regulatory guidelines.
Candidates should possess practical laboratory skills, including safe handling of chemicals, use of common formulation and processing equipment, and accurate documentation of experiments.
Candidates should possess effective collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to work in cross-functional teams, present technical findings clearly, and coordinate with manufacturing and regulatory stakeholders.
Candidates should possess relevant educational qualifications, preferably a degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related discipline; prior experience in formulation development in the pharmaceutical industry is highly beneficial.
Candidates should possess strong problem-solving and organizational skills, including attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and openness to learning new technologies and scientific approaches.
