Role Description This is a remote, contract Automation Engineer role focused on designing, implementing, and optimizing automated systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and configuring control logic, integrating sensors and controllers, and supporting robotics and process control applications. The Automation Engineer will diagnose system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to ensure reliable operation. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, preparing technical documentation, and contributing to system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives. The engineer will also assist with testing, validation, and remote support for deployed solutions.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Automation and Process Control skills, including experience with PLCs, SCADA, or similar control platforms.
Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering skills, with knowledge of circuit design, industrial wiring standards, and control panel layouts.
Candidates should possess Robotics skills, including configuring, programming, and maintaining robotic systems or robotic process automation.
Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills, including systematic fault finding, diagnostics, and performance optimization of automated systems.
Relevant bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation) or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments, including commissioning and remote support of automation projects.
Proficiency with technical documentation, schematics, and safety standards related to automation and control.
Strong communication skills, ability to work independently in a remote setting, and effective collaboration with distributed teams.
