Company Description Haja Mohideen advocate office is a law practice that provides legal services and representation to clients across a range of matters. Role Description The Legal Trainee role is a full-time, on-site position based in Egmore. The trainee will assist in legal research, case preparation, and drafting legal documents such as petitions, affidavits, and contracts. Daily tasks include reviewing case files, summarizing legal issues, and supporting the advocate in client meetings and court appearances. The role involves organizing and maintaining documentation, preparing notes for hearings, and tracking case progress and deadlines. The trainee will work closely with the advocate to understand procedural requirements, comply with court rules, and develop practical legal skills in a structured environment.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Law, with knowledge of substantive and procedural legal principles.
Ability to handle Legal Issues, including identifying relevant statutes, case law, and legal arguments.
Experience or training in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, and reviewing legal documents.
Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
Interest in or exposure to Legal Consulting, such as assisting in client advisory work and case strategy discussions.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple cases or tasks simultaneously.
Professional ethics, discretion, and respect for confidentiality in handling client information.
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B or equivalent); enrollment as an advocate or intent to enroll is an advantage.
Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and work under supervision in a fast-paced legal environment.
