Role Description
This is a freelance role for a Junior to Mid-Level Motion Designer. The Motion Designer will work directly with our Founder & Art Director on a project basis to assist with designing and animating visual assets. Key qualities are strong design instincts, technical skill and speed, attention to detail, clear communication, organization and efficiency. While this is a remote role, flexibility to work remotely or in person in NYC is a plus.
Must have:
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Strong understanding of motion design principles and trends
Demonstrated experience with rotoscoping and graph editor
Exceptional attention to detail
Must have an organized workflow from file naming to project file structure
Comfortable following creative direction to work independently and meet deadlines
Ability to adhere to style guidelines
Clear and prompt communication skills
Portfolio showcasing motion design projects, creativity, and technical skill
Must own a workable computer with high speed internet
Nice to have:
Proficiency in Blender
Experience with GeoLayers, ArcGis, other mapping software
Working knowledge of ToonBoom
Other cartoon and illustration skill
Local to NYC
