Role Description The Documentation role is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. The Documentation Specialist will prepare, verify, and maintain shipping and transport documents, including invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, and related compliance records. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, clients, and external agencies to ensure that all documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with regulatory requirements. Daily tasks include data entry into company systems, tracking shipment status, updating records, and filing documents for easy retrieval. The Documentation Specialist will also handle basic customer queries related to documentation, support audit and reporting activities, and help improve documentation processes to reduce errors and delays.
Qualifications
Strong documentation and record-keeping skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, data entry software) and ability to learn logistics or ERP systems.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Hindi or other local languages is an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced logistics environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Understanding of shipping, transportation, or logistics processes is preferred; prior experience in a similar documentation role is an asset.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with a focus on reliability and confidentiality.
Minimum educational qualification: bachelor’s degree or equivalent, ideally in commerce, business, logistics, or a related field.
