Role Description The Calibration Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. In this position, the engineer is responsible for performing calibration of instruments and systems, ensuring measurements align with established standards and specifications. Day-to-day activities include planning and executing test procedures, documenting results, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting maintenance of calibration tools and test benches. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, analyzing data to improve accuracy and reliability, and maintaining detailed records for audits and compliance. The Calibration Engineer is expected to follow safety guidelines, adhere to quality processes, and contribute to continuous improvement in calibration and testing methods.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Calibration and Testing, including hands-on experience with measurement instruments, test rigs, and data recording systems.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Powertrain systems, including exposure to engine, drivetrain, or related automotive components and their performance parameters.
Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Electrical Engineering, such as understanding circuits, sensors, control systems, and electrical safety practices.
Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering skills, including familiarity with mechanical systems, instrumentation mounting, and basic thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
Candidates should possess effective analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong documentation and reporting skills.
Candidates should possess good communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively on-site in Mumbai, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred; prior experience in calibration, instrumentation, or automotive testing is an advantage.
