Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Design Engineer role based in Tarapur. The Design Engineer will develop and refine silo designs, including structural components and mechanical systems, to meet specific customer and industry requirements. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and updating CAD models and technical drawings, performing basic engineering calculations, and collaborating with production and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability. The role involves supporting customization requests, reviewing specifications, assisting in cost and material optimization, and contributing to continuous improvements in product performance and safety. The Design Engineer will also participate in design reviews, coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and help maintain documentation and standards in line with company guidelines.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering and Product Design skills for industrial equipment and customized solutions.
Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering skills, including understanding of structural design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, preferably with experience in tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar platforms.
Candidates should possess basic Electrical Engineering awareness to collaborate on integrated systems and ensure compatibility with plant requirements.
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field are preferred.
Beneficial skills include knowledge of bulk material handling, familiarity with industry standards, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
Ability to work on-site in Tarapur, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple design projects within deadlines is important.
