Role Description This full-time, on-site Welding Supervisor role is based in Tamil Nadu, India. The Welding Supervisor oversees daily welding operations, assigns tasks to welders, and ensures work is completed according to technical drawings, specifications, and safety standards. Responsibilities include monitoring welding quality, conducting inspections, resolving technical issues on the shop floor, and coordinating with production and quality teams to meet project timelines. The role involves training and guiding welding staff, maintaining records of work completed, and ensuring proper use and maintenance of welding equipment. The Welding Supervisor also supports continuous improvement initiatives in welding processes and workplace safety.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team leadership, task allocation, and performance monitoring.
Candidates should possess Welding and TIG Welding skills, with hands-on experience in industrial or fabrication environments.
Candidates should possess Welding Inspection and Quality Control skills to ensure compliance with standards and project requirements.
Relevant technical qualification in welding, fabrication, or mechanical engineering (diploma, certificate, or equivalent) is preferred.
Knowledge of welding safety practices, material properties, and reading technical drawings is beneficial.
Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams and maintain accurate documentation of welding activities.
Experience in supervising welders in a manufacturing or engineering workshop setting is an advantage.
