Role Description
The Construction Site Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. The position is responsible for overseeing daily construction activities and ensuring smooth and efficient site operations.
Key responsibilities include coordinating workers and subcontractors, monitoring daily work progress, and ensuring that construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
The Site Supervisor will conduct regular site inspections, monitor workmanship and materials, enforce construction safety practices, and identify and resolve issues that may affect quality, timelines, or compliance. The role also involves maintaining daily site records, preparing progress updates, and coordinating effectively with engineers, project managers, suppliers, contractors, and clients.
The position requires active involvement at the construction site, strong coordination skills, and close supervision of all activities to ensure safe, efficient, and orderly project execution.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Previous experience in building construction or infrastructure projects is preferred.
Strong site supervision and workforce management skills.
Ability to coordinate workers, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams effectively.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of construction safety practices and applicable regulations.
Ability to inspect workmanship and materials and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and site reports.
Basic knowledge of construction measurements and site documentation.
Strong problem-solving, time-management, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple site activities and meet project deadlines.
Willingness to work full-time on-site in Chennai and adapt to project schedules and site conditions.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹35,000 per month, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.
