About the role:
As a Talent Sourcer within the Talent Acquisition team, you will focus on identifying, engaging, and pipelining talent for critical business needs across Freshworks. Working on-site from our Chennai office, you will partner closely with recruiters and hiring teams to explore creative sourcing channels and convert passive candidates into active applicants. This role is key to keeping our hiring funnel healthy, diverse, and responsive to evolving business needs.

What you will do:
Identify, engage, and activate qualified passive candidates using Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and alternative sourcing channels.
Analyze labor markets, competitive landscapes, and workforce trends to map talent pools, identify emerging skill sets, and pinpoint target companies.
Produce actionable talent intelligence reports that help recruiters and hiring managers understand candidate availability, skill distribution, and market dynamics.
Collaborate with recruiters across the team to source candidates for positions across multiple functions and seniority levels.
Conduct initial screening calls with candidates to evaluate alignment, present the Freshworks value proposition, and qualify them for open and future opportunities.
Design and execute targeted candidate outreach programs across social networks, professional platforms, and referral networks.
Build and maintain proactive talent pools for recurring hiring needs and future business demands.
Maintain clean candidate data, talent pools, and pipeline metrics within our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and internal tracking tools.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree - IT/CS preferred.
At least 6 months prior experience in any IT recruiting firm / consultancy / agency.
Proficiency in candidate identification techniques, including Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and local databases.
Demonstrates learning agility by actively experimenting with new search tools, sourcing techniques, and channels to improve pipeline quality.
Exhibits a growth mindset and has the curiosity to evaluate AI tools and augment their recruiting workflows.
Takes a continuous improvement approach to candidate outreach, incorporating team feedback to refine messaging and increase response rates.
Consistently executes with excellence by keeping applicant tracking systems accurate and delivering dependable pipeline progress against targets.
Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills with a strong candidate-centric service orientation.
