The group’s services have evolved from traditional strategy consulting and venture incubation to comprehensive “business producing,” supporting clients across industries in designing and implementing growth strategies.
In traditional strategy consulting, we support Japanese and global companies in India across growth strategy, market entry, partnerships, investments, M&A, and business transformation.
[The Role]
We are looking for an Associate Manager – M&A Advisory & PMI to support cross-border M&A and investment projects involving Japanese companies and Indian businesses.
Our approach goes beyond transaction execution. We support clients across:

2. Linking DD findings to business and M&A strategy
3. M&A execution
4. Post-Merger Integration (PMI) and value creation
We do not expect candidates to have deep experience across all four areas. Strong practical experience in two or three, with the ability to expand into the others, is sufficient.
As an Associate Manager, you will independently own major workstreams, develop fact-based recommendations, work directly with clients and target companies, and drive projects toward tangible outcomes.
[Key Responsibilities]
Conduct BDD(Business DD) covering markets, customers, competitors, business models, financials, and key risks
Assess strategic fit, synergies, investment thesis, and value creation potential
Translate DD findings into business strategy and investment recommendations
Support target evaluation, valuation, deal structuring, and transaction execution
Coordinate with clients, target companies, and financial, legal, tax, and technical advisers
Develop financial models for valuation and business plan after the transaction
Develop and execute PMI and value creation plans, including Day 1 and 100-day initiatives
Lead management interviews and prepare decision-oriented presentations and analyses
Take ownership of workstreams and drive stakeholders toward outcomes
Guide junior team members and review their work
[Candidate Profiel]
We are looking for candidates with approximately 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably combining industry experience with consulting or M&A advisory experience.
Candidates should have practical experience in at least two of the following:
Business Due Diligence / Strategy Consulting
M&A / Transaction Advisory / Business or Corporate Development
PMI / Business Transformation
Private Equity / Portfolio Value Creation
Experience in manufacturing, automotive/mobility, industrial products, automation, engineering, or B2B technology is strongly preferred.
You should bring strong business analysis, financial analysis, problem-solving, stakeholder communication, and PowerPoint / Excel skills, together with the ability to work independently and drive results.
[What we value]
We value people who:
