Role Description The Ballet Teacher at IRBA will deliver structured ballet classes to students of different age groups and skill levels, ensuring safe and progressive training. This full-time position is on-site in Imphal and involves planning lesson plans, demonstrating techniques, correcting posture and movement, and guiding students through barre, center, and across-the-floor work. The role includes preparing students for recitals and examinations, selecting appropriate music, and collaborating with other instructors to coordinate rehearsals and performances. The Ballet Teacher will also assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, maintain class discipline, and help create an inclusive, encouraging learning atmosphere.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in ballet, Vaganova Technique
Candidates should possess solid Ballet and general Dance skills, with knowledge of technique, terminology, and performance practices.
Candidates should possess familiarity with Music selection and musicality in dance training.
Formal training in ballet from a recognized institution or school is highly beneficial.
Previous experience teaching ballet or other dance forms to children, teens, or adults is preferred.
Ability to communicate clearly, manage groups, and maintain a safe studio environment
