Title: Senior Full Stack .NET Engineer
Location: 100% remote
Duration: 3 months contract with extension
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Skillset / Experience:
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack .NET Engineer to join an active application development team supporting a utility-industry client.
The current application is built with Angular on the frontend and .NET/C# on the backend, with SQL supporting the application and reporting needs. The team is currently working through application bugs, performance improvements, and the development of new frontend and backend components.
This is a backend-heavy full-stack role, with approximately 70% of the work focused on .NET/C# backend development and 30% on Angular/frontend development.
The application also includes Power BI reporting integrated into a web application, so experience working with reporting or data-driven web applications is a plus.
What You'll Do
Develop and enhance backend services and application components using .NET and C#.
Build and maintain frontend functionality using Angular.
Troubleshoot application bugs and production issues.
Perform performance tuning and optimization across the application.
Design and develop new backend APIs, services, and business logic.
Add new Angular components and integrate them with backend services.
Work with SQL databases, including queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
Support the integration of Power BI reports within a web application.
Collaborate with architects, developers, business stakeholders, and other project team members.
Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment activities.
Help stabilize and improve the existing application while contributing to the next phase of development.
Required Skills
Strong professional experience with .NET / C#.
Strong backend development experience with approximately 70%+ of recent work focused on backend engineering.
Hands-on experience building REST APIs and web services.
Strong experience with Angular.
Strong SQL development and database experience.
Experience troubleshooting complex application issues and resolving bugs.
Experience with application performance tuning and optimization.
Experience developing new features across both frontend and backend.
Strong understanding of full-stack application architecture and integration.
Preferred Experience
Experience with Power BI or embedding Power BI reports into web applications.
Experience working with utility, energy, or power transmission/distribution companies.
Knowledge of utility industry processes involving:
Power transmission
Power lines
Distribution networks
Utility infrastructure
Experience working on large enterprise applications.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a backend-strong full-stack .NET engineer who is comfortable jumping between C#, .NET, SQL, and Angular as needed.
We are particularly interested in someone who has experience taking an existing application with bugs and performance issues, stabilizing it, and then continuing to build new functionality across both the backend and frontend.

Utility/energy industry experience is highly preferred, especially experience supporting applications related to power transmission, power lines, or distribution operations.
