Company Description ECO – Electronics and Communication Students’ Organisation – is a dynamic student and faculty-led club within the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the Institute of Technology, Nirma University. Role Description The Chief Product Officer (CPO) is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the vision, strategy, and execution of ECO’s product and initiative portfolio, including digital platforms, event experiences, and member-facing services. The CPO will define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with ECO’s mission of student development and engagement. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with student teams and faculty advisors, overseeing product lifecycle from concept to launch, and coordinating cross-functional efforts across technical, creative, and operations groups. The role involves monitoring product performance, gathering feedback from members, and using data to improve offerings and introduce new initiatives. The CPO will also mentor student contributors, establish best practices in product management, and ensure timely delivery of projects within scope and budget.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Product Strategy and Product Management skills, including roadmap planning and feature prioritization.
Candidates should possess solid Project Management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver multiple initiatives on schedule.
Candidates should possess effective Team Leadership and Cross-functional Team Leadership skills to guide diverse student and faculty groups.
Candidates should possess excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills in a remote environment.
Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving abilities, with familiarity in using data or feedback to drive product decisions.
Experience with student organisations, community-building initiatives, or technology-focused projects is beneficial.
A background in electronics, communication engineering, product management, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
