Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Field Application Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The Field Application Engineer will provide technical support to customers, helping them select and integrate electronic components and solutions into their products. Daily responsibilities include understanding customer requirements, proposing appropriate analog and electronic solutions, supporting product design-in activities, and resolving application-related issues. The role also involves collaborating with the sales team, delivering product presentations and demonstrations, and maintaining strong relationships with engineering teams at customer sites. The engineer will work closely with global suppliers, stay updated on new product technologies, and provide feedback on customer needs and market trends.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong field applications experience and the ability to work closely with customers on design-in and product support activities.
Candidates should possess solid technical support skills, including troubleshooting, problem-solving, and application-level guidance for electronic components.
Candidates should possess sales-related skills, such as customer relationship management, technical pre-sales support, and effective communication with commercial teams.
Candidates should possess a strong foundation in analog electronics, including circuit analysis, component selection, and practical application design.
Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field, proficiency in reading schematics and datasheets, and experience in consumer electronics, telecom, semiconductor, or automotive sectors.
Additional beneficial skills include strong presentation abilities, willingness to visit customer sites regularly, proficiency in English (and local languages as a plus), and the ability to collaborate across multicultural teams in the Asia region.
