Vice President of Product Management
About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Vice President of Product Management to lead product strategy, product development, portfolio management, and product innovation across the organization.
The VP of Product Management will translate market opportunities, customer requirements, and business objectives into scalable product strategies and roadmaps. This executive will work closely with executive leadership and teams across Technology, Engineering, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Sales, Marketing, and Client Services to deliver products that create measurable customer and business value.
The ideal candidate will bring 20+ years of progressive product management experience, including significant leadership responsibility across financial technology, enterprise platforms, institutional products, or other complex technology-driven environments.
What You’ll Do
Product Strategy & Portfolio Management
Define and execute the company’s product strategy in alignment with corporate objectives and market opportunities.
Establish product portfolios, priorities, roadmaps, and investment frameworks.
Evaluate market trends, competitive developments, and customer needs to identify product opportunities.
Balance customer value, commercial objectives, operational requirements, and technical feasibility.
Product Development & Delivery
Lead the product lifecycle from discovery and requirements definition through development, launch, and continuous improvement.
Establish clear product requirements, success criteria, and delivery priorities.
Partner with Engineering and Technology teams to ensure effective product execution.
Establish product governance and decision-making processes that support predictable delivery.
Customer & Market Insights
Develop a strong understanding of institutional and professional customer requirements.
Engage with key customers and market participants to validate product concepts and priorities.
Translate customer feedback and market intelligence into actionable product strategies.
Monitor product adoption, customer satisfaction, and evolving market expectations.
Commercial & Product Growth
Partner with Sales, Revenue, and Business Development teams to identify product-led growth opportunities.
Develop product strategies that support customer acquisition, retention, expansion, and revenue growth.
Evaluate pricing, packaging, positioning, and commercial models in partnership with relevant teams.
Measure product performance and identify opportunities to improve adoption and commercial contribution.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Align Product, Engineering, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Client Services around product priorities.
Establish effective communication and decision-making processes across product teams.
Resolve product priorities and dependencies across business functions.
Provide executive leadership with clear product insights, recommendations, and progress updates.
Product Risk & Governance
Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Operations to incorporate appropriate controls into product development.
Ensure product strategies consider regulatory, operational, security, and financial requirements.
Establish product governance standards covering approvals, launches, changes, and ongoing performance.
Identify and address product risks throughout the product lifecycle.
Product Organization Leadership
Build and lead a high-performing global product management organization.
Establish product management standards, methodologies, roles, and performance expectations.
Recruit, develop, and retain senior product leaders and product management professionals.
Build a culture focused on customer value, analytical decision-making, innovation, accountability, and execution.
Qualifications
20+ years of progressive product management experience, including significant senior leadership responsibility.
Proven experience developing and executing product strategies across complex technology or financial environments.
Strong understanding of product discovery, roadmap development, product lifecycle management, and commercial product strategy.
Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs and market intelligence into scalable products.
Experience leading cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Technology, Operations, Sales, and other business functions.
Strong commercial, analytical, strategic-planning, and decision-making capabilities.
Experience managing enterprise, institutional, B2B, or sophisticated professional customer products preferred.
Background in financial services, fintech, trading technology, institutional markets, or financial infrastructure is a plus.
Experience with derivatives, liquidity solutions, asset services, financial platforms, or related products is advantageous.
Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership skills.
MBA, advanced technical degree, or equivalent professional experience is a plus.

Compensation Range
Base Salary: To be determined based on experience, qualifications, location, and overall compensation structure.
Additional compensation may include performance-based annual incentives, executive bonus opportunities, and/or equity-based compensation, depending on the overall compensation structure.
