Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Ayurvedic Physician located in Indore. The Ayurvedic Physician will conduct patient consultations, perform detailed clinical assessments based on Ayurvedic principles, and develop individualized treatment plans including herbal formulations, Panchakarma therapies, diet, and lifestyle recommendations. Responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, maintaining accurate medical records, and coordinating care with other medical and allied health professionals as appropriate. The role involves educating patients on preventive health, participating in case discussions, and adhering to hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines. The Ayurvedic Physician is also expected to contribute to internal training, support quality improvement initiatives, and help build awareness of Ayurvedic services within the hospital.
Qualifications
Recognized degree in Ayurveda (e.g., BAMS or equivalent) from an accredited institution, with valid registration/license as per applicable medical council or regulatory requirements.
Strong knowledge of classical Ayurvedic texts, diagnostic methods (Nadi Pariksha, Prakriti assessment, etc.), and evidence-informed treatment planning.
Hands-on experience in prescribing Ayurvedic medicines, managing Panchakarma and other Ayurvedic therapies, and integrating diet and lifestyle counseling.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-speciality hospital setting and coordinate patient care with other medical disciplines.
Proficiency in maintaining clear, accurate medical documentation and using hospital information systems as required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.
Strong clinical judgment, ethical practice, and commitment to safety, infection control, and hospital quality standards.
Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred; familiarity with basic emergency care and referral protocols is an advantage.
Willingness to work full-time on-site in Indore, including rotational duties as per hospital requirements.
