Role Description The Assistant Manager Purchase is a full-time, on-site role based in Raipur, responsible for managing and optimizing procurement activities across the group’s business verticals. This role includes identifying and evaluating vendors, requesting and comparing quotations, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring timely availability of required materials and services. The Assistant Manager Purchase will maintain accurate purchase records, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate closely with operations, finance, and warehouse teams to align purchasing with project and production needs. The role also involves tracking market trends, supporting cost-control initiatives, ensuring compliance with company policies, and contributing to the improvement of procurement processes and vendor relationships.
Qualifications
Strong skills in vendor management, negotiation, and supplier relationship development, with the ability to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
Experience in purchase planning, inventory management, and procurement coordination within manufacturing, infrastructure, or multi-vertical business environments.
Proficiency in using MS Excel and procurement or ERP software for order processing, data analysis, and reporting.
Knowledge of basic commercial terms, taxation, and contracts related to purchasing and logistics.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate qualification or certification in procurement is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on cost efficiency and quality standards.
Effective communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and handle multiple priorities.
Prior experience in real estate, natural resources, automotive, logistics, or hospitality sectors will be considered an added benefit.
