Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Architect to provide thought leadership and hands-on architecture guidance for the design and rollout of enterprise Data Agents, enabling business users to interact with core data (Borrowers, Investors, Facilities, Sponsors) through natural language, AI-driven experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Data Agent Architecture: Define and validate the target architecture for Data Agents, covering data access patterns, governance, security, and scalability.
* Semantic Model Strategy: Evaluate and design the optimal semantic layer — entity representation, relationships, and business context — for Borrowers, Investors, Facilities, and Sponsors, establishing a trusted foundation for analytics and AI consumption.
* Hallucination Risk Mitigation: Explicitly define and govern cross-dataset relationships within the semantic layer (rather than relying on dynamic inference by the Data Agent) to improve response accuracy and trustworthiness.
* Implementation Guidance: Partner with the Enterprise Architecture team to guide design and build of the initial Data Agents (Phase 1), and support planning for Phase 2 (Microsoft IQ, Graph capabilities, RLS, and cross-domain orchestration).
Phased Scope
* Phase 1: Basic use-case Data Agents for Borrowers, Investors, Facilities, Sponsors. Excludes RLS, multi-agent orchestration, and cross-domain capabilities.
* Phase 2: Introduction of Microsoft IQ and Graph capabilities for complex cross-domain scenarios, plus RLS implementation.
Required Expertise:
* Deep, demonstrated experience in semantic modeling and enterprise data architecture
* Strong background in AI-powered data access and Data Agent design patterns
* Experience with modern data architectures (data governance, security, scalability at enterprise scale)
* Familiarity with Microsoft data/AI ecosystem (IQ, Graph) is a plus for Phase 2 alignment
* Ability to work directly with enterprise architecture stakeholders to shape strategy and execution
Ideal Candidate Profile
A hands-on, senior-level architect who can operate at both strategic (thought leadership) and tactical (design/build guidance) levels — comfortable defining governance frameworks as well as reviewing and validating semantic model design decisions.
