Technical Pre-Sales is Role to understand technical challenges of Customer and help them understand solutions with ease. You can be a star in Organisation with your technical knowhow. And Application Engineer is a role with in depth knowledge of Manufacturing engineering to be on the shop floor with them and help them understand ease of manufacturing by live examples. Help them implement CAD CAM in CNC manufacturing facility.

Core Responsibilities of a Mastercam Application Engineer
Pre-Sales Demonstrations & Benchmarking: They assist the sales team by analyzing a prospective client's blueprints or CAD files, running a proof-of-concept program, and conducting benchmark test cuts on CNC machines to prove the software's capabilities.
Post-Processor Customization: This is one of their most critical technical tasks. They modify and configure "posts"—the translation files that turn Mastercam's neutral toolpaths into the highly specific G-code required by a client's exact CNC machine and controller brand.
Advanced CNC Optimization: When standard programming fails or proves inefficient, AEs step in to structure advanced toolpaths (such as 5-axis simultaneous cutting or high-efficiency Dynamic Motion) to decrease production cycle times.
Workforce Training: They develop training materials and conduct structured technical courses for client machinists, manufacturing engineers, and industrial students to ensure staff are proficient in new software releases.
Technical Troubleshooting: They serve as tier-2/tier-3 engineering support to solve intricate manufacturing issues, software bugs, machine collisions, or tool breakage problems reported by clients.
