About the Role
Audrain Advising is hiring a Project Coordinator to support two areas of the firm's work: compliance audit support for a state agency client, and project coordination across Audrain Advising's other client engagements.
This is not a role with a fixed daily task list. The Project Coordinator will manage both areas independently, prioritize competing demands, and keep projects on track with minimal oversight.
Strong writing skills are required. Work produced in this role reaches external stakeholders, agency staff, and Audrain's clients directly, and must be clear and accurate.
Responsibilities
Compliance Audit Support
Reviews and verifies documentation submitted by program participants for accuracy and completeness against state requirements
Supports program participants through the audit process and manages related personal data in compliance with applicable privacy and confidentiality standards
Project Coordination
Establishes and manages a project management system across client engagements
Maintains meeting agendas, notes, and deliverable tracking across all active engagements
Key Attributes
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrated initiative; identifies next steps without direction
Strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously
Ability to move between projects efficiently without loss of continuity
Proactive in identifying and communicating potential issues or risks
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field preferred
Proficiency in Excel required
Strong writing skills required; candidates will be asked to submit a writing sample
Experience with a project management platform (e.g., ClickUp, Asana, Monday, Notion)
Discretion with confidential and sensitive information required
Strongly Preferred
Experience in K-12 or education-adjacent work
Experience supporting audits or compliance work
Compensation & Structure
Structure: Hourly contractor (1099)
Term: October through December 2026 (3-month initial term), with potential to extend beyond December 2026
Hours: 30-40 hours per week
Rate: $30 USD per hour
Location: Fully remote, must work Eastern time business hours
